calendario di eventi e manifestazioni, ma anche con pagine e link
dedicati ai servizi e alle attivit;
- un call center dedicato, con servizio di informazioni su
ricettivit, iniziative e servizi;
- lInfo Point situato anche nel cuore del porto turistico di
Siracusa, dove sar possibile prenotare e acquistare dei coupons per
i diversi servizi che fanno parte dellofferta del Plemmirio World.
Presso lInfo Point e centri convenzionati sar inoltre disponibile
una Guida cartacea, che verr diffusa a livello nazionale, che
conterr itinerari, aziende, luoghi di interesse, aziende, societ e
attivit che fanno parte del network e che hanno ottenuto il bollino
del Plemmirio World. Il bollino certificher che le aziende e le
attivit commerciali che entrano a far parte del Plemmirio World,
garantiscono nel loro campo, standard di qualit, ma anche di

Plemmirio World Plemmirios Protected Sea Area,
founded in 2005 in Siracusa, is set in the heart of the
Mediterranean sea, on the routes of a millenary crossroads of
historical cultures. It extends for a perimeter of 12 km all along
the eastern coastline of the Maddalena Peninsula, on the southern
part of Siracusa. 2.500 hectares of protected sea facing a
marvellous scenery. High shores, little coves, caves rising out of
water and set in a very rich area for flora and fauna but also for
history and culture, recently declared World Heritage by Unesco.
DIVING TOURISM: a real paradise
for diving fans, with 13 spots provided with mooring buoys, access
to the sea from the shore of the Plemmirios Protected Sea Area and
diving areas to satisfy both beginners and skilled divers looking
for more demanding divings. All along the area there are plenty of
high qualified diving centres and thanks to the support of Plemmirio
Protected Sea Area staff, diving sports for children and handicapped
people are available
BATHING TOURISM: Diving in the
wonderful sea of Plemmirio its easy. Either by the sea, through
mooring buoys or by the mainland, through 42 well-marked spots of
access to the sea, with 7 of them available for disabled people.
Moreover a ferry service is available, using typical boats, to take
tourists to those beaches not easily reachable by land.
NAUTICAL TOURISM: At the
Protected Sea Area anchorage is not allowed in the respect and
protection of the seabed, 100 mooring buoys make berthing easier for
about 400 boats or crafts, and the heart of P.S.A. (Protected Sea
Area) easily reachable.
FISHING TOURISM: sea and fishing
as youve never lived before, through a day experience on a fishing
boat, eating the catch straight on board and taking a plunge in the
clear waters at Plemmirio. There are already 9 crafts available as a
very good instrument for sea promotion and respect of it.
NATURALISTIC AND SCIENTIFIC TOURISM:
a gorgeous submarine heritage combined with unique coastal resorts.
Plemmirio World can meet the requirements of those who like to spend
an holiday immersed with nature. From Sea Watching to Bird Watching
and naturalistic excursions, with peculiar routes.
Concerning universities, institutes or research bodies there is the
opportunity either to study the sea and coast ecosystem (on land or
by scientific cruises on board of the Antares).
GOURMET TOURISM: wine- and -food
routes and typical dishes have been more and more an attraction.
Plemmirio World, thanks to a wealthy sea and a great offer of
gourmet products of the territory (few kilometres far away the
famous Nero dAvola wine is produced) is the right destination for
all who love this world.
Thanks to the agreements with restaurants and producers itll be
possible to make a real trip to discover all sea and land flavours
around the area.
SCHOOL TOURISM: as an instrument
to spread sea culture an also to create seasonally adjustement
incoming. Plemmirio World gives a unique offer to the schools,
proposing plans arranged on different levels: from primary schools
to scientific activities, till seminars for universities. Helped by
specific tools like the trimaran with underwater screen for day or
night cruises, tv connection with the seabed, the P.S.A. seat has
meeting rooms and a multisensory aquarium in addition to a high
skilled crew .
TOURISM FOR DISABLED: P.S.A. and
Plemmirio World were born for a total access and use both for
services and for an easier availability of the sea. Besides the 7
spots of access to the sea created for the disabled, an high skilled
staff is able to support those people on land or at sea and it has
been also provided to knock down all those architectural features
that denies access to the handicapped in the whole Plemmirio Worlds
area.
ARCHEOLOGICAL TOURISM: Siracusa
has been for a long time the capital of the Magna Grecia ( Great
Greece) and the Plemmirio sea has been often a cross-road in the
Mediterranean routes. So there are several remains: from the
prehistorical settlements in the Grotta Pellegrina to the
necropolis of the bronze age with signs of the village included,
from the Latomias ( quarries from the greek period) to the
archeological wealth lying in the gorgeous seabed, where its
possible to admire anphoras, plankings and ancient wrecks from
different ages .
