Presentation of the Consortium “Marine Protected Area” of Plemmirio
Sometimes, there are places that we find in a little corner of our mind more than on a map. These are the places where we would like to take refuge and leave for ever, but sometimes, and it happens rarely, these places are just there, close by us. Therefore, imagine to see an “ancient” island with its Castle on one side, a triangle of land moving towards the dark blue Jonian sea on the other side, and in the middle, the natural Great Harbour, always object of dispute and ancient naval battles. Is it a mythological scenery? I don’t think so, on the contrary it is so real that it has become the natural proscenium for the realization and establishment of the AMP of Plemmirio. It is not an oasis impassable and aseptic to the human presence, on the contrary, all people can enjoy it if they respect nature. We can claim that everyone, and in particular children and disabled persons, can come and enjoy these beauties. This is our source of pride and our exclusive feature. Actually, Plemmirio is the only diving Park where everything, activities and infrastructures, has been thought and conceived above all for them. “ A park built for children and disabled” where they can enjoy the diving and landscape beauties of the Penisola Maddalena.
